Roles of the Partners

A project of such massive physical scale and financial and economic significance naturally requires the support and cooperation of a variety of partners.

Kingsway Business Park is in essence a private sector led project which enjoys the support of a range of public partners. Each partner brings a mix of expertise, strategic guidance, funding and day-to-day support to help deliver one of the north west’s most important strategic assets.

We also recognises that the Park is about delivering economic benefit to individuals and their families and to that end we provide a range of services to assist in preparing residents for the jobs we are working to bring to the Park.  You can learn more about the work we do in this regard by visiting both the Jobs and Business Support pages.

It also requires collective effort to ensure that we minimise the environmental impact of the development, support and encourage the Park’s occupiers to carry out their business in a way that supports this aim and indeed, where possible, do what we can to enhance the natural environment.

The Kingsway Partnership was formalised in 2002, with the signing of the development agreement between the Northwest Regional Development Agency (NWDA) and Wilson Bowden Developments Ltd. They are supported by Rochdale Development Agency and Rochdale Borough Council. Joint agents p3 Property Consultants and Jones Lang LaSalle assist in the marketing and promotion of the Park.

Wilson Bowden Developments has a long and successful track record in developing a wide range of property including offices, industrial and distribution units, town centre and-out-of-town retail and leisure. It enjoys an enviable reputation for its high standard of professional service at all times.

The North West Regional Development Agency (NWDA) provides services and funds projects that maximise the region’s competitiveness to build a stronger economy. Kingsway Business Park is one of the Agency’s biggest and most important strategic projects.

Rochdale Borough Council is the host local authority, overseeing the planning and development of the park, providing vital services to add value to the offer such as the Kingsway Recruitment Team who help local people to secure employment and J21 which helps local people and businesses secure work and contracts on construction related projects.

Rochdale Development Agency (RDA) plays an integral role in the day-to-day physical development of the Park, its marketing and handling of enquiries. RDA help stitch together all the support and help enquirers through the investment process.

p3 Property Consultants is an independent north west based agency. They have an intimate knowledge of the regional property market and considerable expertise in all aspects of property and location searches.

Jones Lang LaSalle are the other joint agents and operate on a global scale. They can advise on all property and investment related matters.
